What we take on.

On-klyQ services available outside the annual plans. Caveats listed where they apply — read them before requesting.

Hardware upgrades

RAM upgrade

Capacity bump for laptops and desktops. Includes consultation on maximum supported memory, sourcing recommendations, and physical install.

Out-of-warranty only. We don't open in-warranty devices — opening voids manufacturer or third-party cover.

SSD upgrade

HDD-to-SSD migration or larger SSD swap. OS clone option available so you don't reinstall from scratch.

Out-of-warranty only. Manufacturer or third-party warranty must already be expired or void.

Data

Data recovery

Software-based recovery for accidentally deleted, formatted, or logically damaged drives. We assess feasibility upfront and tell you honestly if recovery is unlikely.

Windows only · software-only. No physical / clean-room recovery. No guarantees on success.

Data management

Backup setup, file organisation, sync configuration, OneDrive / Google Drive integration. Protect your stuff before something breaks.

User-side only. We don't store any user data on our end — everything stays on your devices and your accounts.

OS work

Windows downgrade (11 → 10)

Migration from Windows 11 to Windows 10 with driver compatibility checks and license preservation. For older PCs that don't run 11 well, or when you need Windows 10 for software / hardware compatibility.

Linux dual-boot install

Distro of your choice (Ubuntu, Mint, Fedora, etc.) installed alongside Windows with proper bootloader setup.

Install only — no Linux troubleshooting. Dual-boot issues (boot order, partition, bootloader) covered for 14 days post-install. Windows-side support is unaffected with a valid subscription.

macOS basic support

Software-level help for Macs — app issues, account / iCloud setup, performance cleanup, basic config.

Limited scope. Deeper macOS issues need Apple-authorised service. We don't do system-level recovery, hardware work, or anything requiring proprietary Apple tools.

Mobile devices

Android phone support

Software issues, account / Google setup, performance cleanup, app problems, settings configuration. Works on most Android brands and OS versions.

Android tablet support

Same scope as phone support, scaled to tablet workflows — multi-window, productivity apps, accessory pairing.

Spec advice based on your actual workload, model comparison, value-for-money picks. We tell you what's worth it and what's marketing fluff.

Advisory only — we don't sell hardware. You purchase from a retailer of your choice. We can help with first-time setup once it arrives.

New phone purchase guidance

Picking between Android models — flagship vs mid-range, brand reliability, software update support, real-world camera/battery performance. Honest takes, no commission bias.

Advisory only — we don't sell hardware. You buy where you choose. Initial Android setup is part of the deal once you've got the device.

Quoted per case, paid on completion

Every on-klyQ job gets a custom quote before work starts. You pay only after the job is completed and verified — no advance payment, no subscription.

Hardware work is out-of-warranty only

RAM and SSD upgrades will not be done on devices still under manufacturer or third-party warranty. Opening the device voids the warranty — we'd rather not be responsible for that.

Data recovery has no guarantee

Software-based recovery has limits. Some data is genuinely unrecoverable without physical clean-room work, which we don't do. We assess upfront and charge only if recovery succeeds.

Linux is install-only

We do dual-boot installs alongside Windows — clean setup, working bootloader. After that, Linux issues are yours to handle. We don't troubleshoot Linux post-install.

macOS support is best-effort

We can help with software-level macOS issues. We don't do hardware repair, deep system diagnosis, or anything requiring proprietary Apple tools.

Separate from annual plans

On-klyQ jobs are not covered by Lite, Solo, Assist, or Home+ subscriptions. Plan customers can request on-klyQ work at standard quoted rates.
